The sail (A) has two faces formed by two superimposed separate sheets of flexible material which form, respectively, the inner (1) and outer (2) faces of the sail, having the same form. The two walls are spaced from each other at the centres and hermetically sealed together along their common periphery (3). The sail sheets define an internal space (30) between them. An inflation port (42) for the internal space pressurises the sail to a predetermined shape for the inner and outer faces.
