The cursor controller is housed in a casing that fits comfortably with the hand. A pressure sensitive transducer (11) translates the user's finger pressure into an electrical signal that is a function of pressure. A processing circuit (12,13,14) responds to the transducer output and generates a signal for transmission to the computer. The signal is then transmitted by infra-red coupling. The transducer operates four switches (101-104) placed under the transducer. The switches are associated with each of four orthogonal directions, and allow directional information to be added to the pressure sensitive signal which indicates the magnitude of the desired movement. |
