ELECTRIC LAMP

An electric lamp, in particular for motor vehicles, has a base with a connection area (14) made of an electrically insulating material and provided with the electric connections (15) of the lamp. The feeding lines (11) that lead out of the lamp bulb (10) are soldered in the inner cavity (18) of the connection area (14) to electric connections designed as contact lugs (15). The base is made gas-tight by one or several shaped parts (19) made of a heat-resistant, elastic material press fitted on the wall that delimits the inner cavity (18) and on the feeding lines (11) that lead through the shaped part(s) (19). Press fitting is ensured by the contact lugs (15), which exercise a pressure on the shaped part(s) (19).
