Integrated process for the production of ter-butyl alkyl ethers which comprises feeding a C4 refinery flow to an etherification reactor and recycling the remaining flow to the same reactor after treatment in an isomerisation section to convert the butanes to isobutene. Between the etherification reactor and the isomerisation section there is a section for absorption on molecular sieves in order to remove inert hydrocarbons, essentially i-butane and n-butane. <IMAGE> |
