<p>FIELD: machine engineering, namely, production of bushings for tracked tractors, excavators, bulldozers subjected during operation to dynamic and bending loads, intensive wear. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of producing bushings from low-hardenability steel with carbon content of 0.65-0.75%, micro-alloyed by carbonitride forming elements, subjecting bushings to volume-surface quenching with low-temperature tempering until formation on inner and outer surfaces of bushing hardened layer having depth consisting 0.17-0.25 of wall thickness and structure of tempered martensite and with structure of mean portion of bushing being thin-plate perlite or troostite of quenching. EFFECT: higher reliability of bushing at operation due to increased resistance to abrasive wear and higher strength against shock loads.</p> |
