The small vehicle chassis (3) supports the quadrilateral shaped bodywork (5). Front (1) and rear (2) wheels are supported by arms (10,15) suspended from the chassis through shock absorbers (13,17). The arms and shock absorbers are supported by pivots (11,16) located at the same height as the vertical chassis height. The electric vehicle has a battery (4) housed in a rectangular chassis part. The height of the front arm pivots (11) and the height of the lower end region of the battery tray are identical. An engine block (14) is installed on the rear arms (15). The vehicle bodywork which is constituted of a resin has a part extending above the engine block.
