The long caisson uses one of its large faces (30) for receiving and wedging the cycle wheels. This large face is provided with an H shaped cut-out (4) which delimits upper and lower flaps (V1,V2). These flaps pivot about folding lines (43,44) parallel to the H transverse bar (40). The upper flap can be raised to the outside or inside of the caisson and the lower flap can be folded inwards. The upper flap is divided into a series of tongues (5) separated in pairs by a cut-out parallel to the H vertical bars (41). The wheel reception comprises a slot (50) emerging in the free edge of the tongue and into an opening (51) whose section corresponds to that of a wheel. The slot edges are separated from each other in order to free access to the opening. The lower flap has a series of openings (6,6') which receive and wedge the cycle wheel. The caisson efficiently and surely wedges the cycle wheels and can be used for their transportation.
