The pipeline cleaning device is inserted in the pipeline via a blind pipeline connecting piece (3,4,7) provided at the junction between two different pipeline sections (1a-1c) extending at an angle to one another. The displacement along the pipeline section lies in line with the extension section. The cleaning device has a number of annular cleaning brushes and is fitted to a displacement rod (10), or cable, which is fitted through a gas-tight end stop (11) at the end of the extension section.
