<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have power supply for providing the same luminous intensity by using a fluorescent tube formed by winding a narrow glass tube whose inside is coated with a phosphor by a prescribed turning number into a spiral state. SOLUTION: A glass tube 11 having, for example, the tube diameter 1.6mm and the wail thickness 0.2mm whose internal face is coated with a phosphor is wound around a core of 6mm by 3.5 turns while heating and after cooling, it is detached from the core. While an electrode 12a is sealed in one end side of this glass tube 11 by a sealing material, argon gas and mercury are put in the glass tube 11 and an electrode 12b is sealed in the other end of the glass tube 11 so that a fluorescent tube is manufactured. An AC output generated by a generator is rectified in a rectifier circuit so as to become a DC, the output is regulated by a DC-DC converter, and the AC output necessary for driving the fluorescent tube is provided by an inverter and raised to the voltage necessary for lighting start by a booster transformer so that the fluorescent tube is lit.</p> |
