PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify maturity degree judging work and to miniaturize an apparatus. SOLUTION: The diameter and peripheral length of a melon 50 are measured on the basis of ultrasonic waves by an ultrasonic measuring part 20 and the signal of the vibration sound generated by the melon 50 obtained through a microphone 30 is converted to a digital signal by an A/D converter circuit 33 and an FFT operation part 34 calculates an inherent vibration value from the digital signal of the vibration sound by operation. A maturity degree judging part 35 of an object to be inspected corrects the inherent vibration value from the FFT operation part 34 on the basis of the diameter or peripheral length data from the ultrasonic measuring part 20 and judges the maturity degree state of the melon 50 on the basis of the corrected inherent vibration value and this judge result is outputted by a display part 40 being an output means. By this constitution, since the measurement of the diameter or peripheral length of the melon 50 and the mechanism related thereto are simplified, maturity degree judging work is simplified and the apparatus can be miniaturized. |
