PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To narrow an irradiation area and to increase the quantity of light received at an image forming lens by enhancing the degree of freedom for positioning at least one of an irradiation means constituted so that a photosensitive material is not irradiated with diffused light and direct light reflected from an original and the image forming lens and making an incident angle as small as possible so that a ghost image is not formed. SOLUTION: At least one of a light source and the image forming lens is arranged so that the maximum angleθx =π/2-(θi --θs )+ϕw } of the direct light reflected on a point P1 being the nearest to the virtual light emission point PE of the light source within the range to be irradiated of the original irradiated from the light source with respect to an original surface 42A becomes smaller than the angleθy of the diffused light diffused at the point P1 and made incident on a point P2 being the most distant from the virtual light emission point PE on the surface of the rod lens array on the original surface 42A side on which the light is made incident.
