The system uses pipes (7) laid below the surface of the ground and through which a heating medium flows. Each pipe is divided by a lengthwise partition (8) into a chamber (9) for the medium and an insulating one (10). The latter typically filled with a heat-insulating medium, and is laid with the first at the top and the second at the bottom. The partition can be flat or curved, in the latter case to a radius equal to half the pipe diameter, with the concave side towards the top.
