The connection device for road (2) or rail trains is made out of solid materials whose endface (1) is symmetrical and has a lug (5) poking out of it. There is also a similarly sized hole (6). The other connecting part has a hole to connect with the lug and a lug to connect with the hole to ensure the location and alignment of the sections. In the end faces of the connection segments, there are one or two permanent magnets (7,8,9) or else a permanent magnet (15) and a moving iron cylinder (16). The appropriate combination of magnets and cylinders in the end face of the section collaborate to produce a connection that is of high quality and very strong.
