In the area of the outlet aperture (2b) an inwardly closing check valve is arranged. The inlet and outlet apertures (2c/2b) are connected via a ring hose (2a). In the ring hose, a fluid accumulator (2d) is connected, which when the pump body (1) is pressed together expands and returns to its normal shape when pressure is removed from the pump body. The operating medium is a fluid and the constituents of the pump trainer produce optically a suggestive relationship to the human heart circulatory system, with the pump body (1) having the form of the human heart. The outflow path (2b) has clear branches upwards, approximating to the aorta bend. The fluid accumulator imitates the compartmental structure of the circulation (2) in a capillary network.
