The plate for a door frame (15) comprising a slot for housing a locking part comprises a base plate (10) which is fixed to the frame. An insert (20), with a slot (21) extending between its walls, houses the locking part. The external faces of the insert walls fit the edges of the base plate opening and have fixing lugs (23). The walls and the fixing lugs pass between the base plate opening edges. The lugs are spring returned at right angles to a peripheral zone of the opening after passing the opening edges. The insert walls have a web (24) surrounding the slot which covers the base plate in the opening peripheral zone which is clamped between the web and the fixing lugs.
