<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the application of a tension force equal to or above the predetermined value to a recorded sheet by forming a flat part at a discharged sheet guide approximately in parallel to the carriage direction of the recorded sheet, and making the flat part capable of oscillation in a direction along the curvature of a discharged sheet carriage passage, respectively at a place where the discharged sheet guide is in slidable contact with the recorded sheet. CONSTITUTION:When a recorded sheet S discharged from a fixing device is carried in a discharged sheet carriage passage 3, a discharged sheet guide 35 oscillates in a direction along the curvature thereof, upon exposure of the recorded sheet S to a tension force equal to or above the predetermined value. The tension force acting upon the sheet S is thereby reduced to a constant value. Also, as the discharged sheet guide 35 has a flat portion 35b slidably contacted by the sheet S, it follows that the sheet S does not strongly slide partially on the discharged sheet guide 35. According to the aforesaid construction, even when a difference in the carriage speed of the sheet S becomes large due to the irregular diameter of a delivery roller, or even when the sheet S of a large size is carried, no excessive tension force acts thereon and the curl thereof does not increase.</p> |
