COMPOSITION FOR BACKING PREPARATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the quantity of water absorption of a backing material which is applied when a finishing material for wall or floor is laid, and improve workability and finish of trowel work. SOLUTION: This composition for backing preparation is composed of 100 pts.wt. of a hydraulic composition. 150-250 pts.wt. of a fine aggregate and 15-25 pts.wt. of a re-emulsification type powdery resin. The hydraulic composition contains portland cement in an amount of >=50wt.%, and has an average particle diameter of 6.0-13.0μm and a particle size distribution (N value in the Rosin- Rammler equation) of 0.8-0.9. The re-emulsion-type powdery resin has a protection layer consisting of a water-soluble polymer-based protection colloid.
