PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a card from being extracted during access to its data by providing a card conveyance means for manual operation, conveying the card by this card conveying means, and breaking an electric contact for reading the data out after a read circuit is placed in a stop state and then ejecting the card. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a rotary dial 5 having its operation part exposed in the opening 4 of an external box 1, a speed reduction mechanism consisting of gears 6 and 11 which decelerate the rotation of the dial 5, a roller 10 which is driven by this speed reduction mechanism and abuts against the flank of the card 7 to convey the card 7, and a detection switch 9 which detects whether or not the card is inserted into a card reader 8 up to a predetermined position and controls the operation state of a read circuit. Then a detection switch 9 detects slight movement when the card 7 is extracted to place the read circuit in the stop state, and then breaks the electric contact, thereby ejecting the card 7. |
