PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing detection device which is effective to prevent a slide door form biting a foreign matter at the time of closure. SOLUTION: An opening/closing detecting device 30 is provided at a slide door 10 on the side surface of body of a vehicle, the device 30 put on when a foreign matter exists between the door 10 and a door pillar 13. This device 30 is inserted and fixed to an edge 11 of the door 10 through a mounting base 32 and first and second conduction parts are arranged in a face-to-face manner in a hollow part at an end of the device 30. If there is a foreign matter therebetween, the device 30 is pushed thereby to bring the first and second conduction parts into a short-circuit state, and it is output as a short-circuit signal. The device 30 detects the existence of foreign matter directly in this way. |
