<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the initial protrusion restraining function and prevent an airbag body from being damaged by forming the shape of a sewn part into a protruding one toward the center of base cloth, and providing two pairs or more of the sewn parts which are different in the shortest distance between seamed parts. SOLUTION: Two pieces of circular base cloth are melted and cut from nylon 66 fiber 420d, and a plurality of pieces of circular reinforcing cloth, prepared separately and heat-resisting coated, are sewn in the center of steering wheel side base cloth, an opening is provided as a fitting mouth 2 for inflater, and reinforcing cloth 3 for vent hole heat-resistance coated is sewn at the surrounding of the opening. The outer peripheries of two pieces of circular base cloth are sewn to form an airbag. After the outside of the airbag is turned out, two pairs of sewn parts 4 at 4 points in total, symmetry with regard to the center of the airbag, are formed into a protruding shape so as to make the shortest distance different from each other between the sewn parts. It is thus possible to improve the initial protruding function and prevent the airbag body from being damaged.</p> |
