<p>A method for racemization of optically active amines, comprising reacting an amine compound represented by chemical formula (I), (wherein R1 represents an unsubstituted or substituted aryl or heterocyclic group; R2 represents an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl, alkoxy, or aryloxy group, or an unsubstituted or substituted aryl or heterocyclic group which is not the same as R?1; R3 and R4¿ represent each H, an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl group or a C¿1?-C4 alkyl -CO-; A represents a C1-C10 alkylene group; and * represents the position of an asymmetric carbon atom) with an alkali metal/polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon complex. A combination of the above method with optical resolution enables an efficient production of optically active amines useful as a reagent for optical resolution, an asymmetric auxiliary group, a metal ligand in an asymmetric reaction or an intermediate for medicines.</p> |
