A doll is provided with a head 2 mounted in a rotary manner with respect to two mutually perpendicular axes 8, 9a, in such a manner that it can move from a straight position in line with the longitudinal axis A of the doll into a tilted position or position in which it droops down over the body, rotated to the side, by virtue of a mechanism 3 with a brake device 15 which can be released from the outside by the user, in order to move from one of the aforesaid positions to the other, and which also serves to actuate electric switches 16, 17 which form part of an electronic circuit 4 with a sound-synthesizer device 5 and which generates electrical signals which are differentiated for each one of said two positions of the doll's head 2, which electrical signals produce differentiated sound emissions. Alternatively, a drive device 18 is provided for producing a vibrational movement on the part of the doll, which is actuated in the case of only one of the two positions of the head 2, also by means of the corresponding electronic circuit 4. <IMAGE>
