The present invention relates to a packing material assembly made from a plurality of quadrangular-shaped packing material, which are arranged in at least a uniform row, the contact surfaces thereof being disposed in a parallel relationship with each other. The packing material means are attached together by a peripheral or wrapping package comprising wrapping paper, thereby forming the packing material assembly. The peripheral package includes a floor pan which horizontally and circularly surrounds the packing assembly, the floor thereof being included. A stabilization edge is connected to the floor pan which comprises sections perpendicular with each other, said stabilization edge extending from the lateral opposite surfaces of the floor pan, and in general, said stabilization edge runs in the row direction. The stabilization edge is made as an edge easy to handle having a configuration so as to be grasped. Said stabilization edge tautens the packing material means together in the row direction by a friction closure or tightening between the contact surfaces.
