<p>PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of deleterious materials and a trouble caused by heat such as the oxidation of a metal wire and efficiently peel a covering material from the metal wire by rolling a covered electric wire into a plate-like body, cutting it in the width direction, cooling the cut pieces to the brittle point of the covering material or below, crushing them to peel the covering material, and recovering metal pieces and the powder of the covering material. CONSTITUTION: A covered electric wire 1 consisting of a metal wire 1A and a covering material 1B is inserted into a rolling device 2 constituted of multiple sets of rolling rollers 2A, 2B, and it is rolled to the thickness of about 1cm to form a continued plate-like body 3. The plate-like body 3 is cut in the width direction by a cutting device 4 constituted of a pair of vertical cutters 4A, 4B to form fine strip-like bodies 5. The strip-like bodies 5 are put in a cooling tank 7 storing liquid nitrogen 6 to make the covering material 1B brittle. The strip-like bodies 5A are taken out from the cooling tank 7, and the covering material 1B' is finely crushed and peeled by a crusher 8. Metal materials 1A' and the powder 1C of the covering material 1B' pass between the vanes 12B of an impeller 12, collide with the inner periphery of the inner tube section 9A of a crushing case 9, are collected at a lower funnel section 9B, and drop from a discharge port 9C. They are sorted and recovered by a wire net 17.</p> |
