PURPOSE:To eliminate influence of attaching position errors in a spindle head on the machining accuracy so that any change in the posture and position of a work can be responded. CONSTITUTION:The position of a multishaft spindle head 15 indexed in a machining position P is detected by position sensors 26, 27, and correction signals are sent to the driving system of a Y-axis base 4 and a work positioning device 2, after finding an error between a standard position value and the detected position and a relative position error of a work W and the multishaft spindle head 15 in a machining position P is corrected. The work positioning device 2 is moved in theta, gamma directions so that the movement can cope with changes in the posture and the position of the work W. |
