<p>A method for providing a contact lens (20) for a patient. According to this method, an optical preform (20) is selected, and a resting position of the optical preform (20) on the patient's eye is determined. An optical feature (11) is also located on the patient's eye. Then, a reference position (12) is located on the surface of the optical preform (20) coincident with the optical feature (11) on the patient's eye, when the optical preform (20) is in the resting position. Finally, the optical modification is provided on the optical preform (20) at a location based on the reference position (12) on the optical preform (20).</p> |
