The invention relates to a railway maintenance apparatus, in the form of a drawer comprising a frame (102, 103, 104) of which the edges are provided with guiding members (101) which cooperate with corresponding members (41) carried by an intervention module for guiding the frame in sliding relationship with respect to the module, linked to means (11) for actuating it in sliding motion and stopping it at any location of a predetermined range of locations; a tool supporting plate (12) pivotingly mounted with respect to the frame about an axis orthogonal to the sliding motion direction by means of linking means (13), the plate also being linked to pivoting actuation means (14) intended to actuate it in a predetermined range of pivoting angles and to stop it at any location within said range.
