Insulating moulding for glass-ceramic cooking plate

The moulding is made from powdered material and is used for a radiation-heated ceramic cooking plate. On its surface are formed a pattern of crossing ribs (8) whose sides are slanting at 45 deg. A heating element (6) is laid on the plate and the ribbed area is below this element. The ribs are on the bottom of the grooves which hold the element. The upper edges of the ribs are between 1 mm and 8 mm, but preferably 2 mm apart. The height of the ribs is about 1 mm less than the depth of the grooves.
