METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR WAVELET CONVERSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the frequency to be analyzed without changing the gain of a wavelet converting filter. SOLUTION: When the frequency to be analyzed is changed when the plant signal with respect to the operating state in the sequence of plants is inputted from a plant-data switching device 12 into a wavelet converting device 16, the incorporating period of the input signal is set with an incorporating-period setting part 18 in correspondence with the changed frequency. In accordance with the result of the setting, a plant-signal incorporating part 20 sequentially inputs the plant signals. A filter part 22 performs wavelet conversion for the plant signal by using a digital filter and analyzes the time-frequency characteristics of the input signal. The result of the analysis it corrected with an output correcting part 24. The corrected result of the analysis is diagnosed with a plant diagnostic device 14.
