BONDED MATERIAL AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the shrinkage of an aluminum alloy brazing material in a bonded interface between an aluminum nitride member and a metal member and to improve the ratio of the area of a contact area to the whole area of the bonded interface by firmly bonding the aluminum nitride member to the metal member. SOLUTION: A laminate 22 comprising an aluminum nitride member 1, a metal member 3 and a sheet 2 of an aluminum alloy brazing material laid between a bonding face 1b of the member 1 and a bonding face 3a of the metal member 3 is heated at a temperature equal to or lower than the liquid-phase line temperature of the aluminum alloy brazing material and equal to or higher than the solid-phase while applying pressure to the laminate 22 approximately in the vertical direction to the bonding face to bond the aluminum nitride member to the metal member. Preferably the laminate is pressurized under >=10kgf/ cm<2> and <=300kgf/cm<2> .
