PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ion exchange equipment by which pure water of high quality is obtained. SOLUTION: Raw water is introduced into an ion exchange column 1 as an ion exchange part, and is passed through six cation exchange beds C1 , C2 ,...C6 in which cation exchange resins are housed and five anion exchange beds A1 , A2 ,...A5 in which anion exchange resins are housed in the order of C1 →A1 →C2 →A2 →C3 →A3 →C4 →A4 →C5 →A5 →C6 . The exchange resins from the exchange beds C1 -C4 , C6 , A1 -A3 , A5 are regenerated by a cation regeneration column 2 or an anion regeneration column 3, not mixed with those beds from the other beds, and are washed in water washing columns 4, 5, and then they are returned to the beds C1 -C5 , A1 -A4 of the ion exchange column 1. |
