PURPOSE:To securely prevent the damage and separation of paint film due to the collision of small stones bounced up by the rotation of a wheel by successively forming an undercoat paint film, a chipping resistance paint film, an intermediate coat paint film, and a chipping resistant film material on the outer surface of body. CONSTITUTION:When chipping resistant treatment is applied to the chipping resistant painting region 4 in the lower part of a door 1 of an automobile C (not shown), the outer surface of a side sill 2, the front end lower part of a rear fender 3, and in the outer surface of the rear end side lower part of a front fender, first, an undercoat paint film 6 consisting of an electrodeposition paint film is formed on the outer surface of a body steel plate 5, and on the outer surface thereof, a chipping resistant paint film 7 consisting of polyurethane paint is formed. Next, an intermediate paint film 8 is formed on the outer surface of this paint film 7, and on the outer surface through, a finishing coat paint film 9 is formed. In addition in the chipping resistance intensifying region 4A in the above region 4, further, a chipping resistant film material 10 such as transparent urethane is strongly adhered on the outer surface of the finishing coat paint film 9 via an adhesive. |
