PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high efficiency of an organic light-emitting device by reducing the influence of non-emission recombination of an electron-hole pair excepting the excitation of surface plasmon, and then converting most of the exciton energy into visible light, thereby enhancing the luminous efficiency of an organic light-emitting element dramatically.
SOLUTION: The organic light-emitting element includes a reflection electrode, a transparent electrode, and a luminous layer interposed between the reflection electrode and the transparent electrode. The luminous layer contains a host and a first dopant, and the vertical component of the average value of transition dipole moment for a substrate surface is larger than the horizontal component thereof. An uneven structure is provided on the luminous layer side of the reflection electrode.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
|
