摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to expel the leakage air stagnating at a self-priming type brine pump for incorporating the brine into the raw water and imparting electrical conductivity thereto by disposing a three-way valve in mid-way of a raw water pipe for supplying the raw water to this cell, connecting the upstream side of this raw water pipe to the port C of this three-way valve and the upstream side to a port A, branching the upstream side pipe of the brine pump and connecting this pipe to a port B. SOLUTION: The raw water and the brine are supplied to the electrolytic cell 1 and are electrolyzed to produce alkaline water and acidic water. The port A and port C of the three-way valve 24 are normally held communicating with each other and the port B is held shut off. The raw water flows from the raw water pipe 14 through the three-way valve 24 from the port C to the port A as shown by a solid arrow and is sent to the electrolytic cell 1. The brine is sucked by the brine pump 21 from a brine tank 17 and is forced into the mid-way of the raw water pipe 14 to make the raw water conductive. At the time of venting the air, the port B and port C of the three-way valve 24 are made to communicate with each other and the port A is shut off. The raw water flows from the port C to the port B like a dotted arrow to push the leakage air stagnating in the brine pump 21 outside the pump.
