PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject adhesive not impregnated in a base cloth, especially between the fibers of an interlining, good in processability, having a high adhesive force, and especially useful for adhesive interlinings by processing a polymer particle-containing solution obtained by an emulsion polymerization to form enlarged polymer particles. SOLUTION: Polymer particles obtained by an emulsion polymerization method are processed into enlarged particles especially preferably by a spray method, and the enlarged particles are dispersed in water, especially by coagulating the enlarged particles in an inorganic salt aqueous solution, lowering the concentration of the inorganic salt aqueous solution and subsequently dispersing the particles in water. The enlarged particles preferably have particle diameters of 10-80μm and a volume-average particle diameter/number-average particle diameter ratio of <20. The polymer is preferably an acrylonitrile-alkyl acrylate copolymer, a styrene-acrylonitrile-alkyl acrylate copolymer, etc. The adhesive can be adhered to a base cloth and subsequently dried and cured to form an adhesive cloth.
