Improvements introduced into Invention Patent No. P-9400526/5, for: Protection system for telephone terminal strips and the like. The bridge 4 fitted between the earthing bars 3 has some end projections 5 that enable it to be unlocked for dismantling it, using levering with a suitable tool. The protection module 9, which has to be fitted on each pair 2 of the different ones included on the strip, has some fastening grooves 12 on its upper handgrip for a flexible part 13 showing the specifications of the circuit that the module protects. The electrical continuity between both sides of the relevant printed circuit 16 fitted inside the protection module 9 is achieved by means of some horseshoe-shaped contacts 19 inserted into a removable upper insulating body 11, the spark gap 9 including a metal plate 15 whose lower end provides the corresponding contact 17 for earthing, whilst its upper end establishes contact with the side of the printed circuit 16 when an insulating plate 18 is perforated which melts by heat, if the spark gap 9 reaches a temperature hazardous to the system. <IMAGE>
