PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic printer of the next generation wherein a blue semiconductor laser of about 400-500nm oscillation wavelength is used as a light source for exposure in order to realize ultrahigh resolution incapable of being realized with a conventional electrophotographic printer. SOLUTION: In an electrophotographic printer having at least a mechanism of charging a photosensitive material for electrophotography wherein a photoelectroconductive layer is provided on a conductive support, a mechanism of forming an electrostatic latent image on a surface of the conductive layer of the ohotosensitive material for electrophotography by exposure using laser light, and a mechanism of developing the electrostatic latent image, a light incident surface of the photoelectroconductive layer is a layer containing electric charge generating material, and a light source for exposure is a semiconductor laser having an oscillation wavelength within a range of 400-500nm. |
