PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a recording operation for a computer easy, simple and accurate and, moreover, to give a high-degree information recording capacity to a receipt by a method wherein magnetic information corresponding to characters and others is recorded at least on one of the surface and the rear of the receipt. SOLUTION: On the occasion of selling commodities, a seller prints a store name, commodity names, the number of the commodities, prices, etc., as visible information on a receipt and also makes information corresponding thereto recorded magnetically on the receipt. On the occasion of this magnetic recording, not only the magnetic information corresponding to the visible information, but also advertising information can be recorded together. Since compressed recording can be made in the case of the magnetic recording, moreover, such additional information as the above can be recorded without increasing the dimensions of the receipt itself. On the consumer side, the recorded magnetic information can be recorded in a computer by means of a magnetic reader or the like. |
