The machine has a contactless electromagnetic inductive or magnetic torque transfer between a magnetic stator field in the machine housing and a magnetic armature field rotating with and formed within the rotor (2). The rotor has a flow channel between central, coaxial end regions (2d,2e) which form bearing journals (2f,2g). A magnetic armature field generating magnet or coil system (4a,4b) is mounted on both sides of two cover plates (2b) bounding the channels (2a) and has a corresp. stator field coil system (3a,3b) on the housing side.
