Thiopyridyl compounds of general formula (I), where W is CH group or nitrogen atom, X is oxygen atom, N-C1-4 alkyl or sulphur atom, Y is oxygen atom, N-C1-4 alkyl, sulphur atom, SO or SO2 group and Z is oxygen atom, N-C1-4 alkyl, sulphur atom, SO or SO2 group and their salts; use of said compositions for producing pharmacologically-acceptable compositions for controlling Helicobacter bacteria.
