<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a molded object of an iron compound inexpensively and efficiently removing the sulfur component of sulfide in gas by compounding the powder of the iron compound with a short fiber component in a specific ratio and bonding the obtained compound while imparting directionality to the fiber component to form the same into a porous filter paper like sheet and bending this sheet in the longitudinal direction of the fiber component. CONSTITUTION:A molded object 1 of an iron compound is obtained by method wherein 10-50wt.% of at least one kind of a short fiber component is compounded with 50-90wt.% of a powder of an iron compound and the obtained compound is bonded by a proper amount of a binder component while directionality is imparted to the fiber component to be formed into a porous filter paper like sheet which is, in turn, subjected to bending processing in the longitudinal direction of the fiber component to obtain a corrugated honeycomb part 1a and this honeycomb part 1a and a flat plate part 1b are formed into a single-faced corrugated cardboard. By this method, elasticity is imparted to the sheet and the specific surface area of the molded object is increased to make it possible to remove sulfide with high efficiency and the molded object is lightweight.</p> |
