PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid interrupting of route guide even when a display device selects a display mode other than current position display mode, by providing, separately from the display device, an auxiliary display device which displays a course for route guiding at always. SOLUTION: Independent of a display device 13 connected to a navigation device body 12 wherein current position display mode or other display codes can be selected at will, an auxiliary display device is provided for course display, so that, based an the course data contained in screen display information, the course indicating destination direction is always displayed regardless of display modes. When a display mode other than current position display mode is selected for the navigation display body 12, the course indicating destination direction is not displayed on the screen of display device 13, however, a destination direction (16a) is continued to be displayed on the auxiliary display device, so, wrong course is not selected while route setting or information retrieval is performed, thus, the destination place can be reached efficiently in a short time by utilizing route guide to the destination place to the most. |
