摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a redundant configuration with a few hardware sets and high reliability with respect to a fault by using an optical switch to share a wavelength multiplex light to plural optical signal channel replacement sections so as to set a wavelength division optical speech path with high extension performance. SOLUTION: M-sets of wavelength multiplex lights received from an input optical transmission line 11j are shared to an optical signal channel replacement section K(0, 1) by a 1-input 2-output optical switch 61j. Succeedingly an optical demultiplexer 21(K)j demultiplexes the signals into the signal lights of each wavelength and M-sets each of the signals are given to an M-input N-output confluent switch 31(K)j, at which the received signal channels are shared into output ports corresponding to an output light transmission line 12j. The optical signals outputted from each port are multiplexed by N-input optical multiplexer 41(K)j of the output light transmission line 12j and selected by a 2-input 1-output optical switch 62j and outputted to each output light transmission line 12j Thus, the optical switches 61j 62j are used to switch the line against a fault and the 2-input 1-output optical multiplexer is selected.
