PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recovery device for an ink jet printer with the reduced volume of a wiper form while its cleaning function is maintained. SOLUTION: A wiper blade 5a for wiping the nozzle face of a printing head 2 is cleaned with a wiper foam 6a at a cleaning position by transferring the wiper from 6a from a standby position to the cleaning position. After cleaning the wiper blade 5a, the wiper foam 6a is returned to the standby position from the cleaning position, then the wiper foam 6a is cleaned with a wiper cleaner 11 to maintain the cleaning function of the wiper foam 6a in a best working condition for a long time. |
