PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide module excellent in long term reliability without making an optical characteristic unstable. SOLUTION: In this optical waveguide module provided with an optical waveguide chip 3 in which optical waveguides 4 are formed and optical fiber blocks 1 to which optical fibers connected/fixed so that optical axes are matched with both end surfaces of the optical waveguide chip 3 and the optical waveguides 4 is fixed, the protection cover 9 of the optical waveguides 4 is provided on the top of the optical waveguide chip 3, and the press cover 11 of the optical fibers is provided on the top of the optical block 1. The widths of the protection cover 9 and/or the press cover 11 are made shorter than the widths of the optical waveguide chip 3 and/or the optical fiber block 1. |
