5-Phenyl-3-(piperidin-4-yl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2(3H)-one derivatives of formula (I) including optical isomers and their mixtures and their acid addition salts are new. In (I), R1 = 1-4C alkyl or 3-7C cycloalkyl; X = H, halo or 1-4C alkoxy; or OR1+X = OCH2O, O(CH2)2, O(CH2)3, O(CH2)2O or O(CH2)3O; X2 = H or NH2; X3 = H or halo; R2 = e.g. H, optionally substituted 1-6C alkyl, optionally ring-substituted phenyl-(1-4C) alkyl, 3-7C cycloalkylmethyl, 2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-2-yl or (CH2)nCOZ etc.;; n = 1-6; and Z = piperidin-1-yl or 4-(dimethylamino)piperidin-1-yl. |
