Electrical check for firm connection between plug halves

A means of checking the firm connection between two sections of an electrical plug uses two contacts (1), one in each plug section, connected to the electrical loads (10) of a test circuit. In the socket section is a sprung pin (5), which can be displaced in the axial direction. This is held within a housing (11) fastened to the socket section of the plug connection (2). The housing has a spring-loaded cap (13), also shifting in relation to the contact. The base of the cap (131) supports a metal bridge (132). This end of the cap touches the second section of the plug, such as a central screw connector (3), when in place and the bridge makes electrical contact with the pin whenever the cap is displaced.
