PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system of a configuration in which an information processing apparatus and an auxiliary information processing apparatus are linked to perform information processing, and functions can be added without any work for the information processing apparatus at all. SOLUTION: The information processing system comprising the information processing apparatus and the auxiliary information processing apparatus (scan agent computer 50) is configured so that a screen for setting some processing condition item which is displayed on the information processing apparatus may be a screen of contents defined by the selectable item information by acquiring selectable item information from the auxiliary information processing apparatus.
