Fire stop with ducting channel and casing

The casing (2) contains components (3) which swell in heat and the fire stop ducting channel (1) is designed to collapse when the components expand. The components can contain swell-up connections giving high expansion pressure and consist of bloated graphite, sodium silicates, vermiculites and/or zinc borates. Where it is ringed by the casing the stop channel may have thin walls and/or easily changes shape, the thin walls made of Al for preference and the casing has flanges (5a) or other connections and is itself walled by an outer wall (5) proof against the deformation caused by the heat-swelling components. The in-wall of the casing should be provided by the stop channel itself.
