PURPOSE:To obtain a recording medium wherein a large amt. of both magnetic information and visible information are input by providing both a magnetic recording layer on the upper face of a substrate and a magnetic thin film layer consisting of a metal, an alloy or a compd. thereof on the magnetic recording layer as a heat-sensitive recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive magnetic recording body 1 is constituted by providing both a magnetic recording layer 3 on the upper face of a substrate 2 and a magnetic thin film layer 4 consisting of a metal, an alloy or a compd. thereof on the magnetic recording layer 3 as a heat-sensitive recording layer. In this case, the compd. may be an oxide of a magnetic metal or an alloy thereof. In addition, the magnetic thin film layer is at least one selected from a group consisting of Fe, Co, Ni, Fe-Co, Fe-Co-Ni, gamma-Fe2O3, Co-doped iron oxide, etc., or a mixture thereof. On the other hand, a coloring layer 5 may be provided on the upper face of the magnetic thin film layer 4. In addition, a protective layer may be provided on the uppermost layer. |
